Melksham Carnival Float
09/2007
Hillary Mcfall the Area Coordinator for Melksham said:
"Saturday the 14 th July 2007 was a great day for the team in Melksham. We had decided to do a float and what better than a shoebox float? Large toothbrushes, combs and all the things that went into a shoebox were made and two of the team dressed up as dolls.
All the floats in the carnival procession were judged and ours won first prize - £25 which we donated to Turn on the Tap.
The public response was great with children calling “it's the shoeboxes” and “look it's the shoeboxes!” People were coming up and asking us for leaflets and in total we gave out 1500 which was the biggest drop of leaflets we have done in Melksham. All had a great day and we hope to be doing it again next year."
